Three major productions and co-productions are set to take the stage in April 2025 at the Teatro Stabile di Torino – National Theatre.
From April 29 to May 11, 2025, the national premiere of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will be staged at Teatro Carignano, directed by Leonardo Lidi, resident director and head of the Teatro Stabile’s Acting School. This new production explores the poetic connection between Russian and American dramaturgy, taking another bold step in dissecting the human soul and its disguises. Past and future, sexual identity, and traditional family dynamics collide in a striking portrait of deception: a woman pretending to be a mother, a man pretending to be heterosexual. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof unfolds as a dramatic living nativity scene where every character is trapped behind a mask they never chose to wear.

Written by Franco Antonicelli—renowned writer, photographer, journalist, and partisan—the play retraces Italy’s history from 1924 to 1945, spanning from the assassination of Giacomo Matteotti to the Resistance and Liberation.
This production is a heartfelt call to collective and conscious engagement, reminding us that truth must be actively sought, not passively received. Developed in collaboration with Bruno Quaranta, with historical consultancy and narration by Gianni Oliva, and dramaturgical adaptation by Diego Pleuteri, the play is directed by Giulio Graglia and features a dynamic cast of young performers.

At Fonderie Limone Moncalieri, from April 20 to May 11, an emotionally charged production returns to the stage - the playwriting debut of young author Diego Pleuteri, directed by Leonardo Lidi.
Come nei Giorni Migliori explores love through the story of A and B. Their true identities are irrelevant; what matters are their souls, swept away by an indescribable force. Through small objects, daily gestures, clashes, reconciliations, and the unspoken mysteries that shape a relationship, the play captures the joys and sorrows of a couple’s journey—from beginning to end.
