To encourage East-meets-West exchanges between arts institutions and practitioners in the region and beyond, the Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo (HKPAX) offers opportunities for professionals to meet and exchange ideas.
From 14 to 18 October 2024, a series of Expo Programmes, International Showcases, Pitch Sessions, Talks, Exhibition and Networking Activities will foster artistic dialogue locally and around the globe.
The key programmes of HKPAX aim to encourage the arts practitioners to explore, experience, express, exhibit and exchange the art of interactions.
- 'International Showcases' presents full-length or excerpt performances in dance, drama, multidisciplinary arts, music and Xiqu (Chinese Opera) with a duration of 45-60 minutes. Showcase venue, basic technical and promotional support and an allowance of $10,000 (USD) will be provided for each successful applicant.
- 'Pitch Sessions' offers a platform for artists and performing groups from around the world to pitch and seek support from potential partners and funders for the collaborative development of new works. Upon being selected, each applicant will be invited to arrange one or two speakers to present their pitch in 10 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
