A normal family, father (dentist), mother (dentist), two daughters, somewhere in a rural area. First, the father quits, "nervous breakdown", says the mother. Then the practice goes bankrupt - and the marriage breaks up. The twin daughters are now separated and live unequal lives. And as if by chance, global warming spills inexorably into this private catastrophe.
In 2022, "Die Zukünftige" by Svenja Viola Bungarten was awarded the Else-Lasker-Schüler-Play-Prize. According to the jury, it is a "complex, sophisticated, linguistically dense and highly musical play" that "elegantly interweaves personal and global catastrophes".
Alina Fluck (*1993 in Hamburg) worked as an assistant director at Schauspiel Köln. Her directorial debut "der herzelfresser" by Ferdinand Schmalz premiered there in 2018. In 2023, she completed her studies in drama directing at the HfS "Ernst Busch" in Berlin with a production of Marieluise Fleißer's "Eine Zierde für den Verein".
