A bear wanders through an emerging forest in search of himself. The first cooperation of Junges! Staatstheater Braunschweig with Theater Fadenschein creates a magical interplay of acting and puppetry based on Oren Lavie's poetic picture book.
Once upon a time, there was an itch and from the itch, little by little a bear emerges, a bear that wasn't there.
In the poetic picture book by Oren Lavie, a bear finds a piece of paper in his pocket that says: "Are you me?" He adds: "A very good question" and sets off through a wondrous forest (whether the forest also grows (if the bear isn't looking?) to find out if he is "me".
Here he makes “old friendships” with the Comfortable Mountain Cattle and the Saumblessed Salamander and ends up at the Compass Tree. It's just stupid that there are eight directions you can run in the wondrous forest instead of four. Which direction should he take? North, South, East, West, Wrong, Right, Lunch or Breakfast?
A search for meaning with all senses. An imaginative exploration of materials accompanied by music and projections. For all bears and people aged 4 and over.
