The Young Vic produces new plays, classics, musicals, adaptations, digital projects, and game-changing multi- and anti-disciplinary work. For over fifty years, the theatre has been fostering emerging talent and collaborating with some of the world’s most exciting directors, performers and creatives, building a global reputation with productions that push at the boundaries of theatre. Led by Kwame Kwei-Armah, the Young Vic champions work that demonstrates great artistic imagination and ambition.
With around 10 original productions per year playing over 300 nights, we strive to tell stories that matter: stories inspired by our vibrant community, stories representative of the world we live in, and stories told in exciting new forms. Our home in Waterloo, London houses our Main House and two Studio spaces, each fully flexible in configuration. Increasingly, digital platforms form our fourth stage. Intrinsic to the Young Vic’s ethos are Taking Part, our community engagement programme, and the Creators Program offering emerging talent opportunities to develop their craft.
