The Tiroler Landestheater (TLT) is a four-divison house with music, theater, drama, dance & theater for young audiences. With about 450 employees & around 180,000 visitors per year, it is the largest cultural institution in western Austria.
Approximately 600 performances are staged each season & around 30 new productions are created.
The main stage (Großes Haus) of the Tiroler Landestheater was renovated in 2021 and now meets the technical requirements of modern stage operation. It holds 750 seats and 30 standing room seats. The neighboring Haus der Musik Innsruck hosts the Kammerspiele offering outstanding stage technology, a variable stage floor, an orchestra pit, a revolving stage and a lacing floor, seats 213 spectators.
With the founding of the Tiroler Landestheater und Orchester GmbH in 2005, an event holding company was created. The legal reorganization resulted in the employees into the new company. The State of Tyrol holds 55 per cent and the City of Innsbruck 45 percent of the capital stock of Tiroler Landestheater und Orchester GmbH.
More than 450 people from over 50 nations work at the Tiroler Landestheater on and off stage, in the in-house workshops, in make-up and wardrobe, in the orchestra pit and in administration. In addition tot he permanent staff, around 120 guests are hired each season.
