Founded in 2000 by Claudia Di Giacomo and Roberta Scaglione, PAV is a company specialized in the design, production and management of various devices in the performing arts field . PAV works across the board with artists, national and international institutions, theaters and companies , combining projects of institutional relevance with continuous monitoring and support for the independent scene.
PAV has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture as a promotion body since 2013; it is also the leader of the European project Fabulamundi Playwriting Europe , co-financed four times by the European Commission (from 2013 to the last edition of Creative Europe just won), promotes contemporary dramaturgy in 10 countries through a network of 15 partners. PAV has always been active in supporting internationalization processes , creating collaborations and exchanges to promote the mobility and circulation of works through the establishment of national and international networks . In this regard we recall the recent Community Theater for Sustainable Development , in Sudan, and the bilateral project to support contemporary Italian and French dramaturgy Face à Face Italy/France 2007-2017.
The structure is involved in multi-year development projects such as: Live Museum, Live Change , within the Atelier Art Beauty Culture of the Lazio Region at the Trajan's Markets in Rome; SummerTales , supported by the Municipality of Rome as part of the Roman Estate; Simultaneously with a program entirely dedicated to the contemporary playwright.
Since 2002 PAV has been collaborating with the Santa Cristina Theater Center – founded by Luca Ronconi and now directed by Roberta Carlotto – for advanced actor training and, in more recent years, with QAcademy and Istituto Luce for the Videogame Lab .
PAV is also very active in contractual representation and mediation , on behalf of individual artists* . An activity that places PAV in a strategic position in relations with theatres, opera foundations, and various productions in Italy and around the world and which has allowed it to develop a privileged and multifaceted observation point on the contemporary scene.
